Vodacom via Jannie van Zyl please explain why you do not regard Top Up contracts as worthy of receiving LTE.
Only post paid contracts. I feel Vodacom is discriminating against Top Up Clients and this must surely be regarded as an unfair business practice.
We sign a legal document which is binding upon ourselves for a period of 24 months. You receive our monthly payments upfront without any degree of risk. (I have a "no Phone" contract so there is no hardware outlay from Vodacom either)
Yet you allow post paid contracts to receive LTE, with all the inherent credit risks!!!!!
Am I missing something????????
If Vodacom do not equate my Top Up contract benefits with Post Paid contract benefits, then I would like out so that I can move to a more competitive service provider.
So please advise me whether Vodacom will activate my Top Up sim for LTE, or if they will allow me to cancel my Top Up contract without penalty.
As things stand Vodacom has lost 98% of my data usage due to their superior attitude and unfair pricing, as I moved to 10gb uncapped ADSL connection, with a month to month contract commitment only.
So my argument is one of principle and not because I use tons of your data bundles.

Because the OOB shark can't get you on TopUp so they have less to gain from you :(

I know what you mean Basilrsa - I was also shocked to find out that Top Up customers can't get it.

You know they sell these Top Up contracts as "All the benefits of contract, without the hassle and uncertainty of a post-paid bill". But that's a lie, because when you start digging, there are lots of things you don't get on Top Up. Did you know that if you wanted to change your number on your contact for some arb reason, that Top Up customers are the only ones that can't get a new number issued on a contract with MTN (not sure about Vodacom). All these little things that no one ever tells you when they smile and show you where to sign for Top Up.

What can I say that has not been said ?

Jannie said that it is a system issue, but why is it taking so long ? They have known about this issue for at least six months.

+1
And OP, don't expect a honest answer. They'll run around the truth like mad on this.
1 month to go and I'm free....

Right now I need Vodacom LTE, and I have good LTE reception in my area.

So this is very frustrating ...

Both my Cell C and Vodacom 3G is congested to the point of not working during the day - so much for living in Joburg !

This has been covered by Jannie already. We’re busy doing the work to make it available to TopUp and Prepaid and will announce as soon as it’s available.

Good, I actually need it asap, everything in Joburg is congested, maybe LTE will work OK for a year or two.

OMG!!! How many times do we have to hash this story over and over again. Can you read other threads or do a search on the forums?

I didn't start this thread, but am quite happy to continue with it.

The more noise about this issue, the better - as you can see Vodacom reps do read these threads !!!

But nobody is forcing you to read it.

If you don't like it, go and read the threads about girls with baggage !

You guys sounds like a bunch of girls hashing the same issue out which has been addressed by the Vodacom reps already.

Don't CellC offer LTE on pre-paid? There's an option.

Do you work for Vodacom, a related company, or are you looking for "brownie points"?
