TopTV & GlobeCast FTA on Sirius 4

The DSTV decoder will only search for Intelsat 7/10 & won't work on the TopTV dish. I already tried it.
 
Thanks for the info guys, will surely Explore all the Possibilities of FTA Channels, over the weekend,
 
I cannot change or insert additional frequencies. Was able to do it with DSTV, but not TopTV.

I got home on Friday, and started playing with most frequencies ( http://www.lyngsat.com/sirius4.html ), and what I noticed is that the decoder only take Channels which are on Vertical Polirization, meaning and I had to use DVB-(S2) entry point. These are the setting i used

Top TV - DVB-S2 MPEG-4
Frequency 12602
Polirasation V
Symbol rate 6111
FEC 3/4

And soon as the I accept these settings, the decoder goes back to the channel last watch, which means it receive signal, and yet when TTV decoder does not pick up signal on that particular frequency or network, it doesnt switch back to the channel, but ask you to choose the right frequency or network and once unlocked then it kicks back to the channel) but since the TTV decoders are only programme with its number of limited channels, nor Public Bouquet, so it leaves us nowhere except we try getting hold of FTA decoders for Sirius 4, cause from a look of things there are lot of FTA Channels on TTV signal :D and we must Top Explore them.

As of now, I'm using these frequencies entered via Sirius 5 DVB-S2 not Sirius 4 Network :wtf: to obtain TTV signal, so we are so close in discovering what lies out there, only the right equipment needed, or a software upgrade for Public Bouquet.

Yes you must get a SATLOOK to help you , and the Freg is 12525 and the LNBU 10.6 , and it is on 5 de East . hope you come right , on SIRUIS
 
You can't tune this toptv receiver,its locked by the OTA download.The freq to change is "Siruis 4 TP G6" and its locked,any other won't work.The only freqs you can edited is the last 2 and that is pointless
because it is for transponders that's not there.
 
Got myself a FTA reciever and a univeral twin LNB. Replaced the single LNB from TopTV for the twin. Changed freq 10600 to 10700 in menu. Conected the FTA reciever to the LNB. Rescan and Voila free BVN.

Does your FTA receiver decode?

How much does the FTA receiver cost & where can I get one in Cape Town.

Look next to Africa. The TopTV dish points to Sirius 4

Check sirius 4 (Astra4), BVN is FTA. A FTA receiver costs 420,00 plus 25 posting. A Twin LNB was 389,00. Cheaper on Bidorbuy.co.za. Check GATOA dealer. Good service. Instalation is a piece of cake.

Sats R us in Cape Town has the same model reciever (according to picture) as I ordered on BidorBuy, but twice the price.
 
Found an SABC and ETV feed on my FTA on Sirius. Very entertaining when it was running(for like 5 minutes). Basically the reporters feed that you don't see on the news, and also what seemed to be a "learner" weather lady. But it doesn't run all the time. I was probably lucky.
 
So, Guys, if you run the Universal LNB with TTV Transmission, is it possible for me to use My Quad LNB for TTV.
