Torch 9800 and Mxit 5.9.4 issues

Mxit 5.9.4 doesnt work on my Torch 9800 but 5.9.3 works perfectly.

According to the agent I spoke to BIS doesn't recognise the new version of Mxit and I must phone my Service Provider to check it out.

Anyone else.

had the same problem and was told to clear my cache and restart the phone but it didnt work. I had to register a new account using overseas credentials ( because using SA credentials failed). hope that helps
 
There isn't much difference between the 2 versions anyway.
 
I have the same problem here with my 9700 on OS6.
The folks at MXit have done something wrong.

I'm on vodacom.
 
Its definitely not a Provider Issue, mxit has many many problems on BB Touch Screen devices, im using the Storm 2 and have to run 5.8.2 as its the newest version that works. If you can get a copy of that then i would suggest using it. Problem is you cannot download it via the phone, they have removed it as an option when connecting to wap via the BB handset.

I got hold of it using my computer there it let me download all version back to 5.8.1, but as its a JAD file you cannot download and install via Desktop manager you need to copyt eh DL link to the JAD file to ur phone and execute it there, the file is still on their server they just removed the option to actually download it from the handset itself.
 
Whatever version I download (tried 5.9.4 and 5.9.3) ... After install, I click on "Login", Select country and province and go to "MXit ID", It does not let me type in this field.
If I move to "PIN" or "Enter the numbers below" I can type perfectly but in "MXit ID" I cannot type anything!
Anyone experience this?

EDIT: Sorry ... actually 5.9.4 doesnt even install ... "Connection failure. Please select 'Help' for more information. [Error code -11]"

BB 9800 and Mxit

I use blackberry 9800 and I installed mxit 5.9.4 and I use Orange but I can not even open to register previously I was using BB 9500 with that one I could not register it was asking for my number when i key in it hangs i think this software is not for BB(s)

MXIT for BB i useless, you need to go back a few versions, the only 1 thats almost gauranteed to work is 5.8.3, its the only 1 that is known to work on Touch Screen devices.

I've just installed 6.0.0 on my BB Torch (Vodacom) and it seems to be working (registered, added a contact). To install go to www.mxit.com on the BB browser.
