Hey ,

I was wondering if any of you people would be like to be able to download torrents through HTTP and get full speed rather then using apps like uTorrent and etc

It's too bad but i can't afford local server costs as its super expensive so this mirror would be located in USA but you should get full speed regardless if even 250 people download @ 420KB/s

So if you guys are willing to use this give a shout here and i will share my servers addy to you since i can't use all the resources of it myself so money goes to waste :(

Anways see you guys on the flip side
 
Good luck with keeping that open ong enough before your server host gives you a warning

The server is not hosted in South-Africa so diffrent terms apply and RAS can't do anything as im not sharing any Prodly SA SH** so yeah , server has been up for 3 months with some of the stuff i mirrored ill probally mirror some more stuff if something worth it gets out it just alone im not even using 0.1% of my bandwith pool on the server and even some people from other countries are downloading from it but still no luck on getting near the server cap

So hence of now their hasn't been any problems...

Just so you guys understand this will NOT WORK on a local only account , i have gotten atleast 3PM's asking if its local only , also 2 more asking how much this service will cost ,

Firstly its International all i am doing is offering you a service to download some stuff through the HTTP protocool thats not shaped by Telkscum so obviouslly this will be free

I just dont want to waste my effort on uploading a bunch of stuff to the server if no one is gona bother using it and so on since there will be no point in mirroring some of the best know sites out there on my server.

sounds good i will mail you ....i dont mind uploading stuff to the server as well .

they are called seed boxes they are very common to have in the states, they runa web based torrent manager like torrentflux.
 
yeah this sounds good..

Im not to certain what a seed box is all about, but I can say that Im a registered user on a certain int torrent site, using private trackers of course.. and they had an "open leech" period or something like that because they had a seed box. It was weird, I had literally about 5 seeds and I was running at almost full line speed... nice.

I'll be a beta tester too! :D and of course I have one or two things I can upload as well... :D

I am well familiar with seed boxes as I ran torrentflux off one for sometime in the past. And of course an old friend of the forum once also had such a service.

for now i will only introduce a HTTP link with downloads on it , feel free to PM me with what you want me to upload for the time being as there is a huge exploit in the Torrentflux script at the moment i will install it once its fully functional

there are better managers than torrentflux:)
 
AH well my server is running in windows so i can probally check some stuff out abit later today and see what i can do regarding setting up accounts within certain limits of space

, ALso i was wondering is there anway to "Mount" a hard disc so it show files on a other disk on a HTTP server
 
Ill use it bud, if its got anything i want :) i have uncapped int. so i can keep it idling :P

Im confused as to how you can simpy host this stuff on HTTP as open and unsecure as it is?

Even files on Rapidshare eventually get booted off the server, so how are you going to get away with this with your ISP!?

Dont get me wrong, im lovin it, but arent you gonna get nailed?

no you cant mount across http.. well not that im aware of.

you could just create a virtual directory pointing to it..

thou i am useless at apache configs..
 
Hey , glad to hear you guys are getting great speeds i , i will be uploading some more content today and be adding it soon as i said if you have requests for now PM them to me later i will introduce a system where you PM me that you want an account and i will give you a username and pw then you download the torrents you want via this service
