Torrents and P2P unusable lately?

I use emule p2p client, throughout August it is disgracefully slow. Does anyone have an idea how to overcome it?
 
We all got the same problem i'm downloading 4 popular torrents and am averaging about 2 kB/s.
What difference does it make to telkom what we do with our measley 3G a month.
If we go nuts it just means that we will be capped sooner.
 
Durban - its BAD... 0.5k - the fastest 2k or none of the downloads will start...
 
No idea what you talking about, i'm getting 35KB/sec on 384.
 
The time is near, with everything going as planned, monday will be funday :-) keep ur eye on our freeproxy project.

Just a sidenote, i have been fiddling around with test server(to those on beta list, that server will be up soon) and torrents without proxy on saix going at 10k+- were peaking at 53k/s at the same time of testing.
 
My eMule has been sick since about the 3rd of the month !


1.I Dont use standard ports .

2.Axxess 30 Gb [My first month with them]

Well i did 30 gig in 7 days but i uploaded 12 gigs, which is lame any one with ideas or a better program so i don't have to upload as much... i'm using bitcomet... I know that makes me a leach blah blah blah but the rest of the world doesn't have the same restraints as we do...
 
The most you could do scooby doo is limit your upload speed, in some cases with torrents that will slow down you dl speed but hey, torrents work that way.
 
My problem is I upload at a constant 25kb and I only download between 5kb and 15kb.
For a 300mb download I upload 700mb :( Im at Axxess.

This is on a 10k seed/peers torrent file

Use Azureus or bittornado limit upload to 5bk . In Azureus you can limit it to 5kb to all the torrents together.
 
Got emule working !

I set eMule up for a 56k modem and it SUCKS up the internet with a massive 7.8kb down and 2kb up


Well its working ..........
 
I have same problem with me too. It look like your ISPs is block P2P traffic through packet shaping method. There is no solution to it, except to try out one of these free proxies by MrBeep or NukeCap to see whether it work.
 
Using Bitcomet downloading a 4 meg file.

56k dial-up 35min download time
512 ADSL 36min download time
