Torrents crawling on Mweb Uncapped

I don't know if this issue came up in one of the uncapped threads, if it did then just show me where.

I am currently using MWEB uncapped aswell as an Uncapped Express account, but my torrents are slow as hell. Normal port 80 (http) works perfectly, but on torrents I'm getting nothing or 1-2KB/s.

Im downloading from Piratebay and the torrents (five of them) all have more than 1000 seeds each. I've left them running for the last week and the speeds havn't changed. Tried enabling encryption and also using different ports but no change. Getting these "speeds" all through the day.

Anyone else with similar problems?
 
I'm only mweb uncapped shaped and while torrents are slower during the day, definitely not THAT slow.

You enable port forwarding on your router?
 
Yes, port forwarding is enabled. Light is green in utorrent. I also tried international DC servers now. Starts off at 2KB/s then quickly drops to about 100bps and then dead.
 
I'm on mweb 384k uncapped and get 30 to 35 KBps in the evenings and around 20 KBps during the day. Demonoid torrents using Bitlord (sometimes uTorrent).

Make sure you don't have other downloads running,i'm downloading ''Other Worlds'' now and running at 37kbps on a 300k line which still needs to be upgraded.



Edit:1000 seeds?,what the hell are you downloading thats so great?
 
I cant complain, Torrents ran at about 250kb/s this morning and DownStorm is running at full speed. ... had some speed troubles last night but seems it's all sorted this morning.

Nothing else is running. What's weird is that I can upload at almost 50KB/s.

I just upgraded my pc so i'm getting some games. COD:MW2, Assassin's Creed 2 etc.

They have about 1000-3000 seeds.

BTW, this is on a 4MB line with 4MB account from them. Most HTTP runs at full line speed.
 
Same result with Vuze. Had a speed burst up to 30KB/s now for a minute and then it went down to 1-2KB/s again.

Argh!
 
Mweb shapes peer to peer downloads, it won't help to forward ports and what have you. It's your ISP, in fact, all the "cheaper" uncapped plans with any ISP will be shaped! There are ways around this, you just need to search the forums ;)
 
I know they shape it, but this is nuts. Also, it's not changing late at night. I mainly want to find out if other people are experiencing the same speeds.

I honestly think there must be something else wrong with your connection. Have you tested your line with a capped prepaid account?
 
Ok im going to get a capped prepaid account and see if that makes a difference. BTW i've got 3x Mweb Uncapped accounts and 3x 4mb lines, and they are all the same. Thats why I think the problem lies with Mweb. Anyway lemme try a normal account.
