Torrents crawling on Mweb Uncapped

ok, maybe some one can assist me. i am on mweb uncapped 384k and been using utorrent, for some reason this morning all server does not support it anymore. Can mweb block you even though i have only used 20gig this month. If that is the case i cancel today with them...any help would be appreciated.

Mweb doesn't completely block anything.... but they do shape it. Basically what happens is that during the day everything which is essential for business such as mail, web browsing etc. are given priority over things such as rapidshare and torrents. At night the priorities are removed. It really doesn't matter how much you've downloaded since Mweb will let you download as much as you can, or rather as much as the shaping allows.

What I would honestly suggest is that you get a service such as DownStorm or AreoVPS. It will allow you to download your torrents to their servers then you just grab it via a normal website download which is not going to be shaped like the torrents. It's a little bit more a month but it is well worth it if you want to download quite a bit.

Out of the whole bunch of them I'd say Mweb really offers value for money when it comes to uncapped packages. Unfortunately it takes a bit extra to get the most out of the package, but if you take for the same amount of money a few months ago you'd only have gotten a few GBs of bandwidth.

The reason I asked what torrent he was downloading is because The P* Bay is blocking connections on their trackers, he may think that's Mweb, but they've been having issues ever since the move to a new location 3 days ago or so. And as far as the AeroVPS is concerned, we work pro-rata, and offer 25% off so you will get it very cheap this month to test it out... Again, any assistance with this is just a PM away. :)

I thought by this you meant your torrents won't start at all, if it's slow as hell - that's normal, it's called shaping... All uncapped ISPs do it, so it won't help canceling your Mweb because the next supplier will shape your P2P as well, except if you pay like R1000 for uncapped!

We have solutions for this as well, check my signature, PM me for a discount if you're interested...

they start for like 2 seconds then all the seeders and leechers go to zero, then nothing, nver did this before.

Alright, that's another issue then. Shouldn't do that, maybe try using Vuze? See if that does the trick?

This whole business is supposed to be "freeing the web". But to me it feels like we escaped prison, to find ourselves being hunted by the authorities in connection with the death of the vice-presidents brother. :P

browsing and mail would take priority over downloads, ESPECIALLY when international capacity is restricted.
