lol... um just wondering but is this a joke?
You can't ping all servers, only a few infact. Pings to guildwars.com will always be timed out, unless of course you could ping it before?

Hmm, well in that case I can't ping it at all either, amazon.com also completely times out.
So do many of the other sites you randomly ping, what do you mean by pingable? I was talking about the kind of pings Darkwater was showing that you replied to?
The actual guildwars.com or amazon.com sites load fine.

Loading and pinging is a different matter. Your browsers communication has a much larger TTL for each packet than your average ping.
I randomly ping lots of sites as a reference and not once have I found one "unpingable". If the pings timeout on my connection I'm always able to ping it on a nearby backup 3G connection.
To add to the trouble with GW pings tho, the game is now almost completely unplayable. As soon as the site started timing out to my pings the ingame pings skyrocketed to around 7000ms. I suspect something to do with the switch to IS?

The switch in CPT has been to a better international link so no idea there.
But I'm sure there are some servers that I have never been able to ping. Can you currently ping amazon.com or media24.com? Two I was using that completely time out too..
In any case it doesn't affect their loading at all so what would be the problem with guildwars completely timing out if it has no affect on the performance? I mean for myself, your connection might actually have problems.
