toshiba fn key dead

I upgraded windows [xp] from ms.
After that I cannot adj the brightness. I normally press fn + F6 or F7.
any tips please.

I had the same problem when upgrading a Toshiba notebook, but the fix is simple. You need to download the Utilities software from their website. Last time I did it the address was http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/

It's a well-organised site with software for pretty much all the current and legacy problems, so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding what you want by entering your model number. You'll also find software there for any other problems your upgrade caused to the laptop's basic configuration, e.g. sound card, display, modem, hot keys etc. Good luck!
