Tottenham Hotspur thread

Lamela and Soldado cost around 50mill and have been about as effective as Carrol and Downing :erm:

Best player Spurs bought was Ericson.

Haven't seen a lot of Spurs games, but from what I saw that guy oozes class.

and to think erikshin was supposed to come to pool. thieving spurs.

He wasn't really. We scouted him but weren't interested. Apparently the analysts said he isn't strong enough mentally and tends to go missing in the big games.

Sherwood after his great start will be lucky to see out the season at this rate

There is talk of either dutch coaches Van Gaal or De Boer coming in but Sherwood won't last the season unless he wins every game from now. He is cracking under pressure with his comments to the media. Every week he employs new tactics and formations like he is a master tactician. The game last night against Benfica was no different.

Spurs lose to Arsenal and top 4 is gone for them...

Well there goes any chances of a top 4. Sherwood made a TERRIBLE team selection against Arsenal. Why does he have such a hard on for bentaleb when the kid is just not good enough. Sandro, Dembele and Paulinho all miles above him for that position yet he is still preferred. Chadli is also terrible and his misses cost us. Evidently the squad doesnt have enough depth to make top 4. Hopefully they buy some defenders and another striker for next season

So rumour has it, Tim Sherwood punched a player in the dressing room.

All things considered, Tottenham must be the most useless side in England. No wonder I couldn't find a thread to do with them. Only once under Harry with Bale on steriods did they become relevant.

This season City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool are all taking turns to prove why they should not win the title, yet Tottenham ar enowhere to be seen. We've seen West Ham & Leicester this season, Southampton last season, Everton the season before that, as well as the one Sir Alex bowed out. Even Newcastle thrilled us the season before Sir Alex retired, finishing ahead of Chelsea. In all these seasons, not once have Tottenham pushed for 2nd or 3rd. If they don't finish in the top 2/3 in 2016, they will never do it.

It's crazy that Leicester are doing what they've been dreaming of all these years. Levy has to go surely. He's the only common denominator. Tottenham should be better than this, especially when other teams are imploding so much. They can;t even seize the opportunity.
