Hi, I need some help to make up my mind.

I'm looking to replace my P990i with a sleeker phone. Either the touch dual, the P1 or 6110nav. I'm currently on an expired topup135 and I usually addon a 500MB data bundle, so my monthly spend is about R320.

I'm willing to upgrade upto topup 315 or migrate to a weekender as most calls/sms I make are off-peak.

I use my phone primarily for time management, calls and sms(I prefer the nokia predictive text here). I also use my phone for browsing both as a modem (HSDPA better here) and on opera mini. I listen to both radio and music tracks, play sudoku and read ebooks, pdfs as well as snap photos (autofocus pref here). I've never used GPS before but I'm sure it will be handy as I'm often lost in JHB.

The pay-in should not be more than the second hand value of my p990i (which is I think around R2000-R2500?)

I appreciate your comments and advice.
:confused::confused:

The P1s predictive text is the best ive ever used!
3.2Mp camera.
It has a radio, Mp3 decent sound quality.
It comes with GPS in the box.

It has everything except HSDPA but its relativley cheap.
Go for it.

its got 3g at least

love my p1 too

Does it really come standard with GPS in the box. Is it a bluetooth receiver, does it come with nav software and maps?

Yip
Yip and
Yip!

In the box, it an external GPS unit so its cool to just leave in the car. All the maps included, it uses gprs to download maps.

Let us all keep quiet and let Trix get the PL1.

Personally, I would not go for a cell phone that is not HSDPA, especially now that 3.6 is out.

Just buy the damn 6110. I've got it free on MTN MyCall100 @R160pm. It is really cool phone for the price and has all the features of much more expensive phones.

- Integrated GPS pre-installed with navigation software and maps (free)
- HSDPA enabled
- S60 feature pack 1 OS (incl flash capable browser)
- ^^ implies tons of apps, games etc.
- FM radio, mp3 , movies etc.
- dual camera (1x 2MP)
- Looks quite sleek

- You can play ported Quake I version on it :) (Uses the original Q1 PC files)

Guys is this confirmed that the gps module is included in the bundle or is it network specific?
