Tower 66: Hyde Park

For interest sakes i'd like to know if anyone is connecting to Tower 66 in Hyde Park, JHB

In the last few weeks i've experienced slow downloads, at least one disconnect every 48 hours, signal disappearing and re-appearing at odd times (3am, 2pm, 10pm etc..)

Is anyone on 66:Hyde Park that is having similar issues?

On it at business hours

On sector 240

One or two disconnects, but thats about it

Which sector you on ?? ( are you north, south east or southwest of the tower )
 
Umm, thats a good question, how does one tell what sector i'm in?

I'm located 600m LoS from the tower, actually in the suburb. Do you leave your connection at work or take it home with you?

What are your d/l speeds like?

Find north and tell me if the tower is north east sout west ect from you

My download speeds are fine, 256 Package I average about 25Kb/s from large dedicated iternational servers.

It does slow down around 14:30 when the schools come out

I actually have 2 modems on different towers for 2 different businesses and home use
 
I'm sometimes on 66 - it's not as good as 82 (randburg metro) for me. Randburg Metro pretty much overides 66, but I can get onto it if I mess around for a while.

BB_matt: When you say its not as good are you refering to connectivity issues or bandwidth ?

both borris - I'm closer to 82, but I'm also close to 66 - maybe 2.5kms as the crow flies.

Basically, coming from Hyde Park, I'm on top of the second hill before randburg central - probably 1.5km or less crow from metro.
