I don't think it was off for everyone, can you post the cell IDs?

@VD: Did you manage to find anything with cell IDs 5121, 5122 and 5123?
A couple of posts back you asked if my father was in a rural area, do you need his co-ordinates?

I know Vodacom have no cell broadcasts on 3G which is why I have locked my 6630 to GSM only. From this particular tower I'm not getting on channel 50 (y4L discounts) or channel 60 (cell info).

Cell broadcast does not work on a 3G network

VodaCom & MTN won't pay for the extra service.

You are correct there's no Cell BroadCast on 3G in South Africa at the moment.
