Have anyone else got the problem that the tower you connect to keeps falling of the grid?

I got an external antenna and got good speeds with it +- 150 kb/s download and 10kb/s upload with an RSSI of 84.

But every second day the tower (PN) i connect to (was 356) disappears and i get connected to a crappy tower 200 that got 10 kb/s download and almost no upload.

Then i climb up the roof again, reset the antenna (takes +- 2 hours to get the right position) and all is fine again. Then 3 days later that tower is gone and i am with a new tower 24.

The whole process again just to have me connect to another tower 3 days later.

Is there a way to tell your modem to keep connection to one specific tower? I really do not have the time to reset my antenna every 3 days

Yes i did

And nowhere where i read does anybody have the same problem as i do.

Maybe it is just my antenna that is not correctly installed or something that is why i asked

And just because everybody else also got problems does not mean i should hide away and hope for it to go away

Yes i did but they were not very help full, all they told me was move my antenna around until i got the lowest RSSI...

Then i told him again, slowly what my problem was and he repeated i should adjust my antenna...

After a few more minutes i gave up and came here

Your problem is the same problem we are all having!

Slow bloody speeds with Neotel copying and pasting replies to people who log complaints or letting their stupid staff answer saying (ultimately) "I don't know"

Neotel works great at first, everyone has a great first month or 2, then the problems come!

I think, the only people NOT having problems are people who work for Neotel - they prob get preference!

Yeh i got excellent coverage and signal at first. Was really happy with Neotel until this all started... My coverage dropped to poor and my signal strength took a nose dive. That is when i bought an antenna

I must admit,

My dad has Neotel.
He plays online casino and so on...

He really does not have a problem.
And its the cheapest package.
The speed isn't that bad.
He does live in Villeria, Pretoria....
Perhaps his good coverage is the difference?

I read this hoping it would rhym!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I have excellent coverage too apparently, but my speeds SUCK!
Now my signal drops from 3 bars to 1 bar to 2 bars daily... its up and down all the time and yeah... WTF!
