TP Link 3240 3G V1

I have this router. Is there anyway I can make set this thing so it prohibits roaming. I use a Telkom Mobile SIM which just roams onto the MTN network and goes OOB because I am on the 25+25 TM only bundle. At the moment I am using the Vodafone R205 as a temp fix which isn't ideal because it does have a wired network like the TP Link.

Failing that what other 3G router could I but that would allow me to prohibit roaming?

Turn your TP-Link into a ROOter.

In Mobile Parner you can switch modem to manual network search and select TM. It will be remembered in the modem even you unplug it. If you have Huawei 3G modem, try it first. ROOter is worth to look at anyway.

I will try mobile partner. ROOter doesn't appear to have an option to force only home network connection. For the moment though I have it connected after multiple restarts and it's staying on TM and not going to MTN.

You should be able to send AT commands.

To lock onto Telkom Mobile:

AT+COPS=1,2,"65502"

To revert to automatic network selection:

AT+COPS=0,0
