Had wifi issues at home and replaced my aging TP link Archer D9 router with one of these
https://www.tp-link.com/my/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax73/ .
I also got one of these to use as a mesh system

but i now realize the the x55 includes the router and two satellite nodes.
Can I use the deco x55 with my router [ax73] to extend the signal?

Or

Would i be better off getting something else to extend the wifi signal?
I can return the x55 as its still sealed

Thanks

You can use the x55 mesh alone or you can use it in extender mode with the other one. How large is the space you want to cover with wifi?

About 600sq m but it’s two floors, mostly double volume.
I didn’t know there was an extender mode.
Thanks

It's called Access Point mode in the software (instead of Router mode).
^This.

Also, other than extended range, the real benefit of a mesh is a unified WiFi network... No jumping from the router to an extender, just one network with the nodes handing you off to different nodes as you move around your home.

Wouldn't take 'em back at all.
