Hi Guys, need some help here. I recently purchased a Tp-Link MR3220 router to use in conjunction with my a Huawei E1752 broadband modem.

Problem is the router seems to freeze up and reboot every time I start browsing.
I tried various setting disabling wifi, using different 3G setting but to no avail.
The closest thing I came to resolving was to enable bandwidth management on the router, I was then able to browse for about 1 whole minute before it bombed out.
When the connection is idle the router is fine, the problem only arises when data traffic is passed through the modem.

Anyone experience a similar issue or is running a similar set-up?

If the router itself is hanging then it sounds like you have a faulty router.

I have had one for two years, which I mostly use with an E1820. It is on continuously and runs happily for weeks at a time. The problems I have seen have mostly been Cell C related. The router has never hung.

I also have an E1752, which I find sometimes loses connection (the modem hangs up to the flashing blue light state) after several hours.

Is the modem plugged directly into the router or are you using a USB extension cable? These modems are quite sensitive to the quality of the power supply, but that would not cause the router to crash.

The thing is my colleagues and I bought three and two of us are experiencing the same issue with the cell c stick. The third has yet to test he's.

It does seem like the router is hanging, all the active light will go solid for about a sec or two after which the modem's blue light will turn off and the router resets.

The modem is plugged directly into the USB slot on the modem

I've updated to the latest firmware already, are you saying I should try one prior to the version that shipped?

Well, if it worked with a previous firmware, then it is well worth it to go back. The guys at TP-Link don't really add revolutionary features to their firmware, so there is no real point to upgrade. If your modem is supported in a previous firmware version and it works, then stick to it.

I use the MR3220 with my E1820. When I was on cell c I maybe had to reset it once every week or 2 (reboot on the web interface). With 8ta I get a lot less signal and it seems I was having to reset it once every day or 3. This past week I have to reset it about 5 times a day though :(

No. It has settings for MTN and CellC built in. Either one still works with 8ta.

I got a a Huawei E1752 from Cell C a while back.

I feel it overheats too much and so the connection goes at a snails pace/ stops transferring data when connected even to my PC for a while. Either it is a bad modem or there is a design issue with it.

So when i use it with my MR3220, i get disconnected every so often. So i use my old vodafone usb stick and it works fine, connection is 3.6mbps, but i run it for months without requiring a reboot of the router
