Hi everyone,
I have the : AC750 Wireless Dual Band Router Archer C20
Which range extender would you recommend?
I am assuming I would need the AC750 range extender? Or is this incorrect?

I was looking at this one, not sure if it the right thing.

Marine, is there a specific reason you want to go with an extender and not a mesh?

Use a powerline range extender.

Mesh? I dont know what that is :D
I have very bad reception upstairs

Right, the extenders will help, but there are a couple of things you need to know.

First, both of the ones you posted are only 2.4Ghz. That means you miss out on the 5Ghz band and your internet upstairs will be slower as a result. Better than you have now, but nothing like being near the router.

I've used the WA850RE before. Pretty good at the price and you get what's advertised.

Then...

If you don't mind spending a couple of ZA Rhonds more, there are mesh systems.

I'm running the M4's now. It's the best thing I've done for connectivity around the house... I can't run cable to an AP, but the mesh is so good I doubt folk would really notice a difference.

Two units in the box... Work together to create a really good network and you can add units as you need.

My call would be the mesh.

Edit: Corrected the last link for the M4s

Like the Deco M4's much better value than the value Ubiquiti Unifi mesh which are limited the 100mbps on their Lan interface.

The Gigabit ports are why I went with them in the first place.

What is the difference between :
TP-Link Deco E4 - AC1200 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System (2-Pack)

And

TP-LINK DECOM4, 2 Pack AC1200 Whole-Home WIFI System

Ahh i see only one of them has Giga Ethernet

So those mesh systems still connect to your normal router am I correct?

Sorry, had to run out for a bit.

Yep. One plugs into your router and the other goes wherever you need it to.

Setup is easy. Download the Deco app for your phone from your App Store, plug in and follow the instructions on the app. Basically you should be done in five minutes or so.
