I want to track what websites get visited by PC's /iPad in our house.

All access to the internet is via WIFI and using 3G router Huawei 970b. Using 8ta.
In order to make sure inappropriate websites are not being used -- example porn etc .. how do I track internet usage.

I know one can install software on PC itself but problem is we are using various devices, including iPad -- all via WI FI. What I am looking at is to get list of what websites are being visited. They by whom is not to important.

Option I have been looking at -- no success yet...
Can one somehow sniff the WI FI network?
Somehow set up a proxy server.
Do I need to get another WI FI router and put proxy between them?
Why doesn't service provider provide this service upstream?

If I need to buy another router -- so be it. Please advise.

Please help
Thanks
WB

PS -- it would be nice if I can also see bandwidth being used but that is not my main requirement.

Sounds like you would need a server that would be used as a gateway and firewall to the internet. You would need a linux distro (can't remember name) that you would configure on that computer to record all traffic.

Download Wireshark .. it will monitor all devices on your network, wireless or wired.
