Capped as in local only ? Then the answer is No. Bandwidth probably also depends on the servers you play. Lots of people with different car skins that you might be downloading, modded tracks, etc.

nope, thats probably the old one. You need the "nations forever" version. Agasa had that one, but it seems to have vanished

Personally I'd go for United rather. There are 2 ways to get it.
Either get TrackManiaUnited for R90 + shipping and download the Forever Upgrade locally
or bite the bullet and go for Retail TMUF at R270 + shipping

Choice is yours. Whereabouts in Pta are you btw ?

Hey Luke, thanx for the tip on the LP's. Raced some other servers last night and in 2 races alone I got 1000 LP's each

No problem. The bit between 50 and 60 takes a bit longer, as there are less servers and less people on them with more LP than you, but up to 50 it's a breeze.

It's good to have a home server or a favourite server, but you don't get good points there. You drive there because you enjoy it.

Yeah, I'm stuck in that 50-60 lot, it takes quite a while to get lp now. And I'm not sure if it's true, but if you play in a lower bracket (0-50), you don't get any lp at all?

And I always like playing against people higher than you, it gives you a better chance of getting more lp if you get a good time, and it obviously encourages you to get better times if you are a few seconds slower...

u can still play in 0-50 and get points, so long as you have a higher ranked person playing in the game, and providing you beat them.

Nope, doesn't work like that. If you have above 50K LP you will never score points on a 0-50K server. Same with the rest. If your LP puts you above the upper limit of that server, no points. You might be thinking about the way TMN used to work.

And btw, does anyone play solo alot and is in the upper echelons? I've got about 240 medals and am 18th in SA but I have some trouble getting authors on some tracks (like A06). Anyone know how to do that last jump properly?
