TrackMania Nations Forever

OK, installed it. Unfortunately I did not have much time to play. But it looks quite nice.

Same here. Also went for standard access , Looks nice, can't change my nickname, other profile stuff, etc... says at the the top demo account has limited options...

Seems I'm not the only one :) Stop and start of Uplay sorted that one.... Couple of other niggles...saying I'm not connected to Uplay , etc. Progress from one PC doesn't show on the other, etc. Will see how it goes, Progress doesn't get saved on the same pc even...

I also bought Standard Access just a short while ago. Club Access is just a bit too steep price wise in my opinion @Dan C ; @Luke7777

Technically we can create a "local dedicated server" by making a room on Radmin VPN and create a LAN server. That way we can join each other if we wanted a private "online" match. Just a thought. I think Starter Access people will also be able to join locally (via Radmin) without having to buy Standard Access. ;)

According to this post: https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthread.php/2241315-Dedicated-servers it does appear that we'll get our hands on dedicated server files, however, it might restricted to "Club Access", but let's see. I'm pretty sure one we'll then be able to create a true dedicated LAN server (that one can still join via Radmin VPN) vs my "pseudo" online LAN solution above, lol.

Played the "Map of the Day" as well as the arcade mode and joined some club channels. Game is super fun as it always has been.

PS: Still contemplating if I should buy TM Turbo on the Steam sale to complete my TM collection....still have a week left to make that decision :unsure:

Jeez, this brings back memories. Used to have fun and get very frustrated with this game :D
May just have to check it out again.
 
The new one is really keeping my interest. First they added track of the day, then cup of the day and now the 3v3 matchmaking with squads to come. And I'm not even on the club access.
 
So it looks like I am a Covid-comeback to TM. But I have stayed with the old Nations-Forever. I haven't tried the new 2020.

Hey girl. I have not been racing much lately TBH. Mostly Canyon maybe once a week.

Good to make contact again after all these years. I thought I would race a bit at the end of last year to relax after the whole lockdown thing... and it sucked me right back again!
 
@Dan C - Tried the TM technical test ? Did send you an invite... not sure if you have console or not. Must say... it's pretty smooth, feels like the ol' days again. Except for my reflexes of course... which has gone to **** :D

Invite went to your Ubisoft email I think...
