So after endless trouble with my 2011 BMW 120i (Less than 50 000Kms on the clock) I have decided to trade it in on something a bit more simple and reliable (brand new). It's still on motor plan so would like to get rid of it before I loose too much on it. I owe R45 000 on the car still so would like to try keep it as close to that as possible, I am purchasing property in the next whole so would like to keep costs down. I'm looking at the Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20, Kia Rio and Toyota Yaris. Anyone have any other ideas?

My i30 isn't that old...1 year 2 months...but it's given me no issues whatsoever so far. And it has one of the most beautiful interiors in my opinion. The 1.6 is kinda slow though, looking at the A 250 sport as my next car

I have heard it said - no personal experience - that the Jazz is expensive to maintain ...

True that, unfortunately most cars in our country are expensive to maintain, the cheapest being toyota, ford, kia and Hyundai probably. Have you considered a Fiesta perhaps? Ford is quickly gaining market share these days for good reason

If things break it can be a tad expensive, but things hardly ever break, and with the OP wanting a new vehicle he won't have to worry about any issues for the next 3 to 5 years.

@ OP - If you're looking at the Jazz, get the 1.5. The 1.3 is a great town runabout but feels a bit pap if you're used to more power (i.e. your 120i).

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I guess the next step is to take it to the various dealers and see who will give me the most for it.

Suzuki swift sport or the 1.4 gls -at least take the sport for a test drive you wont regret it

You could go for a VW Golf or Toyota Corolla, they are reliable cars.

Hi. I am needing advice !
I have existing finance on a vehicle (2012 model) and would like to sell the vehicle and settle with the bank.
I would then like to apply for finance for about R90 000 and use this to purchase 2 x vehicles @ R45 000 each.

My question is this: Will the bank finance me the R90 000 in order to purchase these 2 Vehicles in 2 different names, IE: One on my name and the other on my wife's name? or

Would I have to apply for a personal loan of the said R90 000 and then purchase the vehicles as seems me fit for the both of us?

Your suggestions and answers would be appreciated.:)
