I agree - Mark Shuttleworth would also be a good figure in the broadband fight - alot more people know him and would therefore listen

Personally, I don't listen to people just bcos they are well known, I listen if they make sense & have a point whether or not I agree with them.kilps said:
That said, from what I have heard about Mark, I think his participation on this forum would be gr8 bcos he shares some of the same goals and is a well known public figure that could encourage more consumers to visit & participate in/on the forum

Same here ic - its that more people would sit up and listen if Mark Shuttleworth condemmed Telkom than if you or me (who most may have not heard of)

Yep, Afrinaut that's the coined term I was looking for, cheers for that - my mind goes blank sometimes which tends to result in a random memory dump
