Traffic from Century City

Koeberg Rd is not for the feint hearted. Taxi's, pedestrians, u-turning at intersections, people cutting in from side streets without a care for oncoming traffic...

I leave a bit earlier and sit on the N1, better for my blood pressure.

Top Gun!

I never leave home before 9.00 - 9.15 and most days, Plumstead to Cape Town is 20 mins. However, the afternoon build up seems to start just after 3.00. Must be all the civil servants ducking out early...

both ways (1st route and vice versa) are absolutely pathetic because there are only those 2 lanes going out of century city. You have a bit more leeway coming back in as you can take the turn-off after sable.
If a car gets stuck on Sable (CC to Town) you are so f*d coz that makes it one lane. Trust me I got stuck in that traffic a few times. Murphy's law, people get stuck there often.

Koeberg is a death trap with all those taxis. Everyday is a almost accident.

this

(that how the cool kids do it?)

Anyways, yeah, lost my focus for half a second and almost hit a taxi that just braked in front of me, his tail lights weren't even working.

You sound like a danger to yourself, on the road... You must always focus when you are on a scooter (or a car for that matter), in the traffic.

Koeberg Rd is not that bad.
