Hi All

A I've been around on the internet for many, many years, but only now have gone ADSL. What a difference! :)

A couple of questions:

I notice some of you have an idea of how many gigs you've used up over a period. Is there a programme that gives you a "live" indication of what you are using? my connection in the past used to show how many bytes were flowing in each direction, but it shows "packets" now (using a router: maybe I changed something on the local area connection status panel. It also doesn't show FTP traffic). Can my ISP provide this? is it supposed to be standard? Will it cost me?

Out of curiosity how much did you use, num people using, and is your windows set to auto-update ?

0.483 gig since Monday. But then I've downloading a lot. Stuff that just used to take days. Might not be a lot to you guys or it might even be average. Should imagine it will drop in the next week or so.

As a matter of interest how much does playing a game (eg AOEIII or DoomIII and the like) take? What is the average time for a game on line?

The one nice thing about DU Meter is you can see realtime speeds as well as having a more up to date total of you have down/uploaded cos the ISP isn't always that up to date. SAOL can be 2-3 days behind.

There's a stopwatch util you can use which gives your MAX and AVG speeds over a predefined period.
