When the fsck will the cops actually start focusing on the lawlessness that is Taxi's...

They cause more bloody accidents and deaths than they're worth.

Heard this on the radio this morning. It happened at the Buttskop level crossing in Blackheath - I know exactly where that is because I use that crossing when I go visit family.

Oh, and it's 8 kids who died - they were already dead when the paramedics got there.

THis morning on the way to work, I saw the "ghosts" out in full force, they were pulling Taxi's off left right and centre!

ER24 spokesperson Andre Visser said there was "total chaos" on the scene, where paramedics found the bodies of the eight children aged between eight and 11.

Two injured children had to be cut out of the wreckage and they were taken to hospital with the five other seriously injured children.

Police spokesperson Colonel Billy Jones said the accident happened at 06:45 while the children were passing through Blackheath on their way to school.

A culpable homicide investigation would be conducted to establish who was responsible.

how can money generation be the sole purpose of a traffic department? surely restoring rule of law on the roads is more important. they have lost control of the teaxis and now that lawlessness has permeated through normal drivers as well

shame that is so sad. you kiss your children goodbye in the morning and you expect to see them when you get home at night.

it is about time they make examples of everyone who is reckless on the roads.

I drove past the scene this morning and it was very sad. People were standing around crying and stuff. Hectic to say the least. Apparently the driver was taking the kids to school when the accident happen. From what I've heard, the kids all attended a technical school - not sure which one though. I feel very sad for their families.

so true.

at the end of our road is a pre-school and i often see and hear parents and or low-lifes speeding down our roads whilst parents are walking their children to schools. the other thing that still gets me is the arrogance of some pedestrians who think it is there god given right to walk in the middle of the road when there are pavements.

Technical school, at age 11?! I'm not up with the times it seems.

Well if the taxi driver drove around the booms then you don't need a rocket scientist to figure this out. Will have to wait for the facts though.
