More of a rant than anything worthwhile. Never used itemised billing as I could get all the information on the vodacom4me site for free. When they stopped that I couldn't justify the cost that was asked for itemised billing and luckily never needed it, till now.

It is possible for one to request a detailed list for the 30 days but the diffrence in obtaining it between Prepaid and Contract is mind blowing.

Now on my prepaid account it's apparently easy. If it works is another question, but from email received from customer care (extract below) its fairly simple with reasonable charge.
Should you require a more detailed list, kindly select “balances” then “detailed transactions” for the last 30 days transactions or the previous calendar month. Please be advised that this information can either be faxed or e-mailed to you via the web site. This can be done at R 10.00 per request

On contract (Top-up) it changed from impossible to possible after speaking with their shift supervisor but at a cost of R10. Agent guided me through but still was not able to get the report. Query was then forwarded to the web team. Received a call after the weekend from vodacom that it is possible but they need to send me a form I need to fill in. Also require a Affidavit that needs to be stamped by commissioner of oath, and will cost R50.00. In a way I can understand all the paperwork. But the extra cost imho is crazy just for being a contract subscriber.

Anybody that can confirm that the above is correct and there no other method to get the information?
