Hi,

I hope that someone of the computer specialists can help me.

My two e-mail accounts are full, but I would like to transfer some important e-mails to my external hard drive.

How can I transfer my e-mails?

Or is it possible to transfer the e-mails from Microsoft Outlook.com or Microsoft Live mail 2012 to Microsoft Outlook 2013?

In my Microsoft Live mail 2013 are the same e-mails as in Microsoft Outlook.com but I can not transfer any one to the external hard drive.

From Microsoft Outlook 2013 is it possible to transfer e-mails to the external hard drive without any problem.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit with Microsoft Outlook.com and Microsoft Live mail 2013 and purchased last month Microsoft Outlook 2013 as well, because with Microsoft Outlook 2013 it is possible to transfer e-mails to an external hard drive.

Tank you, in advance, for your help.

Volker

Have a look as Mailstore Home. Install it as a portable version on your external hard drive.

You can then back up your 2 email accounts with it and then delete the mail from the 2 email accounts, freeing up space again.

If it's all on Outlook.com it should be as simple as setting up a POP3 or IMAP account in the new mail client and syncing all your mail down.

I would suggest to connect Outlook to the mailservers, then dump the mails into pst files, and save the pst to the external drives. This way you can interchange between services on and offline

Did you reach the outlook.com or your local inbox limit?

Are you using IMAP or POP?

On Outlook it is very simple. Archive your old Emails (by example older than one year). This operation will move old emails to Archive.pst file. Then you can move this file to the external drive (but not to the network share location - this is reserved for MS Exchange).
Question about IMAP/POP is valid. The above operation worked with POP access, not sure about IMAP.
