Okay.

How on earth do you submit a request to modify a .za.net domain if you are the owner?

I cant for the life of me seem to get this right.

Thanks

As far as I can remember you have to download the form off the site and modify the details and send it to them.

http://www.za.net/template.txt

Honestly though, I eventually decided to move the domain to my hosting company and let them manage it, much less hassle.

+1 you just fill in the details, email it back to the address and its updated automatically.

Ive done that but it hasnt seemed t work.

Thanks for replies though.. I will carefully look at what im doing and see if I can see something wrong with it. I got the NEW request to work fine, but not modify.

I will verify mx records and such on the new server as well.

If you are using the email address that it was registered under then you can just email the form to [email protected] on the form change NEW to MODIFY on the request type...

If your email address is not the same you need to fax them that is the only way...

When you say "it hasn't seemed to work" do you mean that it has failed (you received a response) or that you haven't had a response yet? If the latter, you need to check the queue, because they can take a while to process the update (we've had to wait up to two weeks at times).

The queue is here: http://www.za.net/status.html

I got it right guys :P I think when I tried the system must've been down or something :)

kewl... I have a couple of .za.net domains never had issues... out of interest which DNS services are you guys using I am with zoneedit...

Hi Guys,

Sorry to bring up an old topic.

I have been struggling for 2 weeks now to change my domain details.

I changed servers and now the dam domain is still pointing to old one which points to 404 error page.

Every time i try it responds with you are using old template error.

then three days ago i used the template that was sent to me in the email..

sent that to them with the changes and i got no response.

so i have kept checking the status page but it says no requests in the queue for my domain?

Do i try again?

What is going on with the site?

Please help.

Are you sending the form back via email as plain text? Many email clients default to sending mail in html format which www.za.net will NOT accept.

Please can you urgently assist. Which hosting company did you use?

Download the form, complete it (use a Whois search to get the details you need),copy + paste completed form into a plain text email and send it off.

Most of hosters used to support these domains back in the day of legacy co.za domains but since the introduction of the EPP systems for co.za, org.za + net.za domains we’ve obandoned support for these types of domains.

For what it’s worth, register a co.za domain for less than R60 per year and move away from za.net domains.
