Transformation laws without end

Transformation laws without end

South Africa's transformation and BEE laws are not going anywhere, the government assures.

And likewise neither is the country Thulas..... well other than largely backwards.

The whole concept of EE and how its implemented needs to be relooked at, and reconfigured for a country that is pretty much collapsing under the weight of government corruption and incompetence.

They should ramp it up more. The quicker the better.

Yup cause it's done a fantastic job in the last 28 years, I mean lets just keep going on stupid ideas and policies.

EE should be scrapped, if after 28 years you cannot make it, you shouldn't be in the job market. Hell heard on the news a 20 year old grade 11 student was stabbed by a 21 year old grade 11. WTF are they doing in school, should be like listen buddy you're older then 19, there is the door.

Worked out really well for Dis-Chem.

Worked out well for most private companies too. I know of banks and insurance companies who have closed down certain positions and departments just not having to employ a black person who does not have the required skills.

You are incorrect, these racist laws have already bankrupted the country. The only reason these things that refer to themselves as leaders is not worried is because their bank accounts are looking absolutely fantastic. The thing in charge of the country’s finances is himself a thief, come on, the thing that calls itself the president is as corrupt as they come. But 2024 (this is the ONLY reason these things are holding onto their racist laws) is not that far away. Just wish that every citizen of this beautiful country will stand together, and stop supporting these racist laws, that is the only way that change will come much sooner than 2024.

Yea... 28 years later. Limited power, water, potholes , highest unemployment rate , failed municipalities , corruption, zero police about...

BEE/AA is working perfectly....

And in 28 years from now, virtually no private sector, default on government debt, hyper-inflation and people dying in droves of hunger and poverty. They all eventually end up the same.

“Until the primary objectives of the EEA are achieved to enable the majority of the people to access substantive equality in relation to equal opportunities and fair treatment in employment, including realising workplaces free from bias and unfair discrimination based on race, gender, disability to mention a few, there will be no moratorium on the implementation of the EEA,” he said.
Excuse me for pointing this out but where in post-1994 SA has any PDI/HDI been UNFAIRLY treated regarding the "equal opportunity" to find employment? Also - what the **** does EEA have to do with 'fair treatment' in relation to employment???????

Does the minister know that it is constitutionally ILLEGAL to unfairly discriminate against anyone, not just the PDI/HDI? These guys are now using BBBEE and EEA as a smokescreen to ensure the majority continually vote for them as the ANC is keeping the racially divisive policies open as long as possible with zero accountability towards non-PDI/HDI's

GFY Thulas!!!!!!! There will come a day when the non-PDI's refuse to be 'fairly' discriminated against...every single person that still supports BBBEE/BEE/EEA can just as well hang a 'I support racist policies' sign around their neck as the policy is now proven to not be about restitution or uplifting the poor, but purely used to buy votes!

Well yeah, the school thing is a bit of a mind fsck for me as well...

at 19 or 20, a person should be told, listen buddy you're too thick for this, go do a trade.

But in my opinion, EE in its current form should be scraped, but there does need to be some form of enforceable EE type of legislation, but not one where some retarded fscking minister can determine quotas and whatnot, but something that encourages a company to employ disadvantaged people and to try keep some documentary evidence of a free and fair employment process where race is not a consideration.

The sad thing, there are so many black people, so skilled and yet also “unemployable” because they are not PC and not connected, the so-called coconuts (yes, black people being racist against their own), how the EFF hates a black person that thinks, well, the ANC as well. Read about what is REALLY happening at Helen Joseph hospital, you will be utterly shocked.

So it will never end.

But we all know by know it's enriching cadres with tenders etc.

We actually need more trade schools, kids who suck at school could move over to those and actually learn something. Not everyone is built for school, but we do need more plumbers and and. White collar is what some aspire to, but to be honest, the guy who comes to repair my washing machine makes R595 for 10 minutes of work.

TBH, when I was 18 or 20... if I'd known what a plumber/sparky can make these days I'd have done my trades.

Exactly, I've freaking paid out about 2500 this last week for guys literally coming for 10 minutes to fix the issues, it's like wtf!!! It's like a lot of jobs don't pay that well.
That's what government should be focusing on, trade schools, educating people getting them out there earning money. More taxes, more stuff, but nope EE just gives us more grants

I had a plumber quote me R26k to run 3 cold water lines, 2 hot water lines and 2 "mixed" lines, and a 50mm waste pipe in my renovated bathroom.

Cold water lines sum up to around 12m of copper plus 6.5m of chasing
Hot water lines around 8m of copper and 3.5m of chasing
Mixed lines would be around 10m of copper and 4m of chasing.
50mm waste pipe is around 2.5m in total

I went and bought all the stuff myself, and have spent maybe R5k on copper pipe/fittings/solder etc, and it took me 2 days to do the chasing (not full days) and 2 days to do the plumbing (again not full days). I still have around 15m of copper pipe left over from this bathroom renovation, that I can use when I get around to the other bathroom.

The pricing these guys charge is actually just mental.

Yup and a lot of the time they can, I mean the one you hear on the radio wants to charge 2k to clear a blocked drain, cause they have a camera. I bought the rods and the drain is cleared, I also bought a pressure washer + hose extension, sure it cost me R2500 total for all of that, but I've used it a few times already.
