Hi folks,
Do you know of software that translate audio into text while in conversation on a PC ?

That would be a big help.

For phone or PC?

Microsoft text-to-speech works well but I am told Dragon is better. I can't afford it so I use Microsoft. I have to say after several years I found that it works "well enough". If you have a Windows OS you already own it.

just to add:
Sorry, I misunderstood your requirements. It does not work in conversations

PC (I added it to original post as well).
The purpose is for speaking to people online.

*transcribe

We use dictation built into word and it works quite well for English.

You can try - Transkriptor. This program converts voice to text. I liked it, so I recommend it.

Appreciate the answers. Will have a look at those options.

OP: What you're looking for is transcription, not translation. The latter generally refers to rendering one language into another. You're not trying to do that.

Probably one of the simplest - Transkriptor. You can also try - Amberscript, Trint, Rev.com, Otter.ai.

Microsoft word also can transcribe from an audio file or while recording audio live.

@RedViking 's suggestion to use teams might be the best option though if it's an online discussion since it'll know who said what etc.
