TRANSMISSION, the little known but super strong torrent client for Apple and Linux is nothing short of amazing. When you first try out this simple yet powerful program you may be excused for slumping your shoulders in disappointment because it looks like it will ratchet and clank itself out of existence at the sight of its first torrent file but no, this is a torrent client made of pure titanium with a heart of gold if you can forgive me for being so affectionate. You get it as default on the Ubuntu Linux distribution and kicks in when trying to download torrent files.

Yes it's a nice app. Someone needs to port it to QT4 though.

I'm still using Ktorrent after all these years and it does the job just fine for me.
