Bring all the white people back that ran it before 1994. Get rid of ALL current employees. Get rid of the ANC, unions and all labour laws. Get rid of AA and BEE. Only then it may be a possibility, only after probably 100 or 200 years of rebuilding the infrastructure the ANC has collapsed.

A shame none of them got the opportunity to shine. Let's get the country back on track first. Under competitive and equal opportunistic conditions, who knows, they may get their chance to prove themselves. Because, if we continue the way we do, at the end of the none of this would matter anything for anyone. Irrespective of skin colour, exceptionalism or whatever.

I would say under 10, the zuma years are where everything became a real free for all with the guptas and accelerated patronage network.
 
Transnet is stupidly easy to fix, unlike Eskom as it actually has assets that competent people would be able to use.

Put it into business rescue, liquidate all movable assets, then lease out all the assets like the tracks and ports to the private sector to manage. Pretty much all employees would be fired, but the competent people will get their jobs in the private sector that takes the place of Transnet.

Transnet's debtors would froth at the mouth at this opportunity, as it would simply print money for them.
