Travel Insurance

Anyone know where I can get International Travel insurance for my Grandmother who is 87?

I have looked at loads of sites and places, but the oldest age that they are willing to cover which I could find was 84.

Help will be appreciated.

She should get some international medical insurance through her medical aid and possibly through a credit card if the tickets were bought on it. Those can also be upgraded.

Her medical aid doesn't offer this and the Travel insurance on the CC only covers up to age 80 and 75 respectively on FNB and Nedank CC (can't remember which is which).

External policies I have found only up to 84 years.

Hehe, funny I'm busy right now doing travel insurance for my grandmother

She's only 84 though, so just need additional cover through Absa (who are considerably cheaper than everyone else for this age bracket).

I know a company in the UK that will cover her, but I think its restricted to UK residents, unfortunately. If she is a UK passport holder they might cover her...

No, our policy only covers UK residents.
