Need to get into shape and was wondering what the forums think - should I get a Treadmill or would Nintendo WII be the better option?

Neither go for the orbittrek.
The orbitrek tones your entire body, i tried the wii to get fit and i must the boxing was very intense but yea does not work all that well, wii fit looks interesting though.
Get both and then you can see which one works best and report back here so we can decide which one is best.![]()
get the wii. you might burn more calories per minute on the treadmill, but you'll probably spend more time on the wii. and your likely to get bored of the treadmill way before you get bored of the wii. and the wii is much cheaper than a treadmill and i've never heard anyone say "hey, let's all go jog on the treadmill" at a party

I read a review of a woman that bought it for her kids because she was worried about them sitting on their behinds, she says that after a month they know the trick of the game and sit on their behinds and play golf or tennis....
This was my thinking - more to do with the WII. With all their games that you can add on.
Can't afford both and I would like to lose weight.
Agreed. One of the few Verimark thingies that does actually work.

According to many critics, Wii Fit is an ambitious but flawed attempt to get gamers off their posteriors. Given its gangbusters sales, EA likely figures it has nothing to lose--and millions to gain--by working up its own workout game.
Try the new EA one. Do you have a console?
Is the orbitrek an elliptical trainer? If so, it's not really a 'verimark thingie'. It comes standard in all gyms.
No - will be starting from scratch
