Treadmill or Nintendo WII

And you play on your wii? How old is your friends:confused:

yes we did play on my wii for a while when i still had it. it was a nice gimmick especially when we were, err, inebriated (chicks dugg it). the novelty quickly wore off though, and it has since been sold. my friends and i "was" 22-25

:D I can imagine.. drunken yoga:D

wii is for suckers, old people, fat people who think they can get thin by playing even more games, and 12 year old kiddies.

join a gym, and stick to it if you are serious. don't need fancy diets and calorie counting either - just stop eating too much and avoid take aways as much as you can.

that's it.

Neither go for the orbittrek.

The orbitrek tones your entire body, i tried the wii to get fit and i must the boxing was very intense but yea does not work all that well, wii fit looks interesting though.

Like your comment and will look into the Orbitrek.
In your opinion which is better the Treadmill or Orbitrek?

Theyt started it and it took flame.

I just worry about you guys thinking you will not get bored with the Wii but will with the treadmill. You can watch an hour TV a day while walking on this and not lose time. Now you have to switch on the console and get motivated too.

Thanks Mila - also thought that using the treadmill and watching TV to cut the boredom.

Cool...just do your research very good. The gym is not such a bad idea either. The price of a treadmill is crazy. Discovery makes virgin active affordable.

buy the wii and do running on the road as a treadmill substitute. best of both worlds.

I don't see why he needs to substitute a treadmill for a wii, and then the road for the treadmill, in the first place.

Is he serious about getting fit or does he want to play games?

as DJK said a while ago, eat steak at a steakhouse and pizza at a pizzajoint, not the other way around.

get the treadmill and use it. simple.

And get robbed or killed for you cell and gear? C'mon you live in Africa. Treadmill FTW. Wii will compliment the treadmill for the fun exercise portion, lets say the cool down period/exercise when you get of the treadmill. The one cannot replace the other, different uses. One is for getting fit the other for getting in shape.

point taken, but i figure he might be trying to justify buying the wii, so i solved that dilemma.

Depends where you live and the times you run to be honest? If you get up early and run you would be reasonably safe. I have never had any issues, and you tend to bump into the same ppl running. In which case you could form a "group" and run?

As for fit and in shape, i doubt the wii will really get you either of those, but it is definitely better than sitting doing nothing.

i bought a treadmill to lose weight, now its just standing in the way and i'm going to the gym. GO TO THE GYM!!! you meet nice people there, hot ladies....

I don't recommend the Orbitrek, really hurt my lower back using one.
Most orthopedic surgeons will NOT endorse the orbitrek at all, and my doc said its my own fault for using it in the first place.
