So I met this girl on Facebook a while ago and Saturday we went out with a whole bunch of mates and had a pretty awesome time. From the word go she was comfortable with my friends and before long we were all hanging out as if she's been friends with us all for years.
One of the things that I really like about her is that she's not Christian like the majority of girls I meet, so it was refreshing for me to go out with a girl who wouldn't eventually engage me in my non-belief and try and save my soul or something.
Great!
Sunday morning when we woke up she noticed a big tree in the front garden and mentioned that she wants to go hug it. Me, thinking it was just a humorous comment on the typical tree-hugging meme, just laughed it off and continued to appreciate my witty new lady friend. Turns out she was more serious than I thought, and when we went outside she did exactly that, except she did more than hug it. It was more like she was praying with the tree or something, holding it in what can only be described as heartfelt empathy.
*awkward*
I didn't want to ask her too much about it right then. We were all pretty drunk the night before.
Who hugs a tree? Is this some kind of hippie religion or something?
