Trees for shade

Nice, Adielk. I hope it thrives as well as ours is doing, in spite of the CT drought. What's that stump next to it?
Its an old palm tree. Provided lovely shade but the sharp leaves and growths were a nuisance.

Ah OK. Late summer/early autumn is a good time to have planted your Celtis, it should enjoy its rest over winter and take off next spring.

So here in the western cape which one of the following would you plant now for future shade?
Natal Fig, Pine Oak or Wit Karee ?

I need to plant a tree next week

LOL... my aircon is going in on Friday :) Much excitement at not having to suffer at night in summer anymore.
And yes, I will make a plan for when Eskommel comes with embargoes.
sweet, how much is the total with installation? i must start saving for next summer

On special.. R6500 all in. The guys are looking for business to tide them over during winter.
Friday morning 8:30 sharp, I need to move a picture and also the bed away from the wall so they can work.

I've suffered enough, and there's no sign of it getting any cooler in summer. Even my parents are having aircon installed and my mother always used to say she hated aircon, but now, she's suffering without it.
