Well it was a complete farce. 4mbps of openserve ipc bandwidth is over R800 a month excluding any international, local and peering bandwidth. So I could never see how they could offer 100mbps uncapped never shaped never throttled for less than R800.

*poof*

Wonder what happened? It really looked promising.

Did it? It looked destined to fail from the get go... yes it may have appealed to the consumerism in you but it didnt look feasible, and their whole backend setup is unknown, undocumented... website never worked... How to not launch a new product or service... guess they learnt the hard way.

HAHAHAHA this was a total scam! got as much money as he possibly could before he was shutdown. We will not see him here again until the next time he tries to scam everyone with a different username and "business".

I feel for all those that got burnt.

Smelt the scam on this guy when he posted on Carbonite.

My account is still working. Did not do a debit order it was just an eft for the month at r249. Just got an email the account will still be active till month end. If it remains that way then not quite robbed of my r249. I took the chance. So at worst I'll get to make the most of this uncapped unshaped account for the remainder of this month

Edit: On carb I was the most sceptical .... But worst case I lose r249 ... Chance I took

Yeah same mail on this side, ensuring to now make use of my 100mbps honorably

So what does the mail say? Anything as to why it only lasted 5days?

When I saw the 'your connection will reconnect once a day' I knew there was something fishy.

Please tell me these were NOT stolen fibre or ADSL accounts which would explain the need for OpenServe fibre? :(

Very possible. The fact that they reset daily and resolve to random addresses all point toward bad things... Wonder how he went about setting it all up that way...
