I have build a Trip Fuel Cost Calculator. Pick a common South African route or enter your own distance, choose your vehicle or your real consumption, and pick petrol or diesel. It works out the total fuel cost, the litres you will burn, the cost per kilometre, and what it comes to per person when you split it with passengers. Prices are the current AA pump prices, inland or coastal, refreshed every week, so the answer is always up to date.
