So I've got XP Home on a 30gig partition and Vista on its own 80gig drive. Now I want to install Kubuntu on its own partition. The prolem arises when Kubuntu allows u to choose a drive to which it must be installed - it doesn't show the individual partitions. This is my first time with Linux so please bear with me.

My other option is installing it to my external drive (500gig Seagate Free Agent which I got from PC Zone for R 1299). So there would be a triple boot but only two in force when the external drive is disconnected.

And yes I've done a triple boot with XP Black Edition and please let's not discuss that OS.

Your views please.

Thank you :)

XP is XP.
Linus shows the drives in a tree
eg: disk1/hda etc
Install Kubuntu and use the grub loader.
Google for triple boot

I too want to try this with ubuntu dapper drake 6.0.6.1 or mandriva one 2007 beta 2 .
So my set up would be first hdd xp/2hdd vista and linux..Willl this be difficult or is there a easy way

Well I've successfully 'installed' Kubuntu using VMware on XP - it worked beautifully.
