Hi
I've posted in the Telkom LTE forum, but I thought I'd come here for some generic advice.
My LTE DL speeds ran at 50 - 70mbs. Following day it was running at 4mbs. My ping is less than 40, UL = 9mbs. My signal strength is 100% (The TP Link does not show dBm).
The slow DL speeds happens ANY time of day. It never "jumps" to 8 or 9 or 10. It's always around 4mbs. The UL speed and ping is always fine - have not changed. It happens on any device: Samsung s6, IPad, Laptop - wired or wireless.
It's been like this for a week and a half and I'm still waiting for feedback from Telkom. I'm hoping that the problem is on my side, so that I can fix it myself and not wait another week for Telkom. (One of the Telkom call centre guys mentioned that some new software/settings was loaded onto their network, which apparently resulted in some issues - don't know if this is true...)
Anyways, anything else I can check? I don't have another router or cell phone that I can use. Can it be the router?? I know it's worthwhile checking it - but borrowing a router is a problem...
Cheers
