I've posted about this in the gaming section, but it seems to be more than just a gaming issue. I've tried logging into Battlefield 2 as well as the MMORPG Voyage Century, but BF2 says "server refused the connection" while VC said I couldn't connect to server. I assumed this was a temporary problem with the gaming servers. But now I find I cannot log onto my chat programs (ICQ, MSN, AIM or YIM) or even file-sharing servers. Since I got a new router (a Marconi ADSL Premium Combo router) from Telkom yesterday I'm wondering if there is something I need to configure on it to fix this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the firewall on your router and check it on your windows as well.
Also, maybe you're capped??? (especially if its only ahppening recently) but your local works.
Some games, like BF2 need international access (to swop data with master server) so you'll have problems.
Get COD4
