Try hack our system (eNatis) challenges Tasima

Well they issued the invite, I can't see jail being an option. Besides, it's based on Joomla... I think there are a few people who can.

See but there your missing the point. They dont want you to try and hack their website as a script kiddy like me can do that.

The aim is to gain access to their Database that houses licensing information. The gentleman went on to state that the only way to access the Databases would be from their network with an domain account that allows you access to the information.

What these okes dont realize is that its very easy for someone to gain access to their DB in a country like ours. People employed by the state is willing to do a lot for R100.00 .

The question is would you tell them that you pulled it off to get the bragging rights? Or Sell the info that contains a hell of a lot of peoples private information including Addresses and ID numbers.

Arrogance is the tool of fools like these people that have no idea about network security.

PS if you pull of this hack you will gain Illegal access to their network. None of their statements gives anyone a get out of jail free card on this one.

Never will be hacked in future? That there is a PR fail. Nobody can say never will be hacked in future, that would assume you know about and understand every exploit to come and manufactured the entire platform from the tiniest transistor to finished soft/hardware product.

So it demonstrates lack of knowlege. Good start for a hacker.

On to my next Q. From a legal perspective, do you think that invitation can be used as mitigation should the one or two of the thousands of hackers lining up to take their chances get caught?

Anyone on the hacker group boards going to share this challenge with their peers? Anyone tweeting it already with the #pleasehackme hastag?
That's exactly what I was thinking. Don't send out a public challenge for hacking, and then get all pissed when it backfires and start legal proceedings.
