I have a few people who's posts I just scroll past as they usually have nothing significant to add.

They are usually the ones that take the bible very serious...except for the parts that don't fit them (like eating shellfish and working on a Sunday).

His argument will stem from an extremely subjective idea that that, in his opinion, is the only thing that sex organs were meant for. Of course the natural response to that is "but Arthur, there are parts of the body that don't have to be involved at all in penis-vagina sex that still bring us sexual gratification... according to your stance these things shouldn't even exist as apparently they are both evolutionarily and theologically pointless.

Yep. Pretty much that. Odd when I'm pretty sure Arthur indulges in activities purely for pleasure rather than for any function they serve (smoking for one). Smoking is very much abuse, ironically. As for spilling seed it's not really something worth countering beyond asking so what? That's a sanctity of life issue better addressed and still unresolved in the abortion thread.

It's pretty safe to assume that most here do not work from the premise that sperm is precious.

Anyway, let's not indulge Arthur and Paul's attempts to derail this thread any further.

but rather that it finds such gratification debased and devoid of meaning

The point remains that it is quite atrocious that the prospects of running the argument are so slim

Nah man that is just basically what he says whenever something sexual that is not penis-vagina associated is mentioned. I wish I could claim psychic powers or something but alas, just a knowledge of how warped Catholicism is.

based on all the arguments from Arthur and the silence of OP (who I thought was RH) I can now say that I believe the OP is Arthur.

Nick333, neither do I work from the premise that sperm is somehow precious. Perhaps you think this is what I or Catholics believe? I'm a huge Monty Python fan and can recite pretty much every show they've done off by heart. But the "every sperm is sacred" song and skit has no foundation whatsoever in anything outside of their imagination. ;)

To be fair I don't think Arthur would troll in that fashion. He has quite clearly high-jacked this thread and steered away from the OPs purpose into a discussion of morality.
