WTF Maybe Afrihost is doing better than IS/OpenWeb right now ....???? Openweb fixed it in a flash , its all good now

If you're an FNB customer with a cheque account, you could also sign up for a free ADSL account with FNB Connect. I've found them to be pretty fast as well. Only capped packages available though.
 
OpenWeb sent a new user name and password and its looking way better.

 
Nice! Funny how so many people have problems and Openweb simply give them a new username and password and all problems are solved!

I left Mweb for Openweb and must say, the vanilla 2mb uncapped is outperforming my Mweb account which was horribly 'shaped' to the point of becoming obsolete.(started beginning of October)
All I got were denials that anything changed from October, but the quality connection I am experiencing from OpenWeb's vanilla account (R220.00pm as opposed to Mweb's R369.00pm account) says differently.

Do you use your V Uncapped during office hours? How have your experiences been? I signed up last week and it was good from wed->fri, I don't use my computer much on weekends so I dont know about that, but today I couldnt push over 70kB/sec on my 4MB account until 5PM hit and everything has been fine since. Hoping this is not an indication of throttling though OW support said I am not being throttled.. they were courteous and helpful but I will have to wait and see until tomorrow if the problems solved.
