Does anyone know were I can find a place in JHB that does turbo installations and ECU adjustments for the turbo?

I could like to add a 0.25-0.5 bar turbo to my Citroen C2 1.4, not to make it fast or so I can show off. The fuel economy isnt really that good for such a small light car.

A bit more low end power will do wonders.
 
you do understand it is not just as easy as bolting on a turbo and off you go?
To do it properly and reliably the compression ratio needs to be dropped. Often involves replacing the pistons... Hence engine rebuild pretty much.

If he keeps boost to below 0.5Bar , he can go with OEM pistons.
 
The turbo will not help your fuel consumption. It will make it worse.

Even if the turbo did magically better you fuel economy (which it won't) your logic is quite flawed.

You want to SPEND money, to save money, which pretty much never works.

You'll need to drive that car so far to even break even on the Turbo installation that you won't save anything at all and run at a loss.
 
Rather buy another car

This also doesn't make any sense if you want to "save".

You will simply spend more on a new car that has marginally better fuel economy but I bet you won't even break even by the time you've paid off the new car unless very special circumstances apply.

So im thinking at low RPM it will create boost eliminating the need to rev it so high thus using less fuel.

Doing what type of driving for what kind of distances? If you are going to be stuck in bumper to bumper traffic no car is magically going to fix the fuel economy because the car isn't the problem, the conditions are.

Has it been serviced appropriately?

Nope. Boost requires more fuel. A lot more fuel, since it will have to run rich to avoid detonation.

Explain why you would need to make the fuel richer if you are just forcing more air into the intake.

The higher the partial pressure of oxygen, and the higher the intake air temperature, the more volatile the air-fuel mixture is. So you need to run at a lower air-fuel ratio in order to protect the engine from detonation (pinging).

You cant just add more air, car will run too lean and you stand the risk of frying pistons or valves, hence you need to add more fuel.
