Here I was planing a trip in November. Forget that now.

How much was the visa btw?
 
This really sucks. Turkey was always a great option as a gateway airport to other destinations and spending a few days there shopping and exploring the city.

I guess home affairs fraud is getting out of hand so bad that our passport is just losing more value

I don't know of any other tourist visa that requires a police clearance. Something is fishy how Turkey suddenly became so strict for South Africans. A journalist should investigate this and get to the bottom of it.

Really sucks. We complain about crime, corruption and load shedding but other things go under the radar. I can just imagine the rampant corruption at home affairs must have gotten where our passports can no longer be trusted and have become worthless. Turkey is such a central transport hub to other destinations too.

Holy crap. Was planning a trip there during Sept. How the hell are we expected to get the docs listed at 5, 6 & 8?

This picture was taken on the 6th of July when their president saw papers proving that an enemy combatant (@Snyper564) was planning to infiltrate Turkey real soon.

Next thing we knew, all their borders were closed to all South Africans - and almost all of Africa was thrown under the bus ...

not easily... as I said cancelling this leg of my trip. Tourism from SA is dead if its the visa route with this needed

not one story from SA yet only nigeria when I called yesterday they said I was the first person to alert them "yay" awesome prize.. mnany peeps in for a MASSIVE shock
