Turning this Digidoor 6S into something smart?

Sonoff SV

Power from 24v and use use modified Sonoff SV (remove resistors to turn it into a non-voltage switch") to trigger the "switch" contacts

Any ideas how I turn this digidoor garage motor into something smarter?

There are terminals but it’s clearly above my pay grade to understand it - I’m also lazy. (At least I’m honest)

thanks for the help!
Buy one of these

On this part of your motor

Connect the 2V to the Sonoff 24V, and the Ground to GND

Connect the CMD and NC on the Sonoff to the motor. EDIT: Connect the Sonoff to a 2.4Ghz ONLY wifi network, Adopt the Sonoff into your app of choice and viola open sesame

Looks awesome thanks for this.

How would I go about knowing if the door is opened or closed?
Can I not use something like this?

So I went ahead and bought that - 10/10 works perfectly.
When the switch shows "on" garage is open.
When the switch shows "off" garage is closed.

I am definitely going to buy this, thanks for the review.

Did it pair nicely with eWeLink?

You can do the same with an isolated Sonoff SV + reed switch to monitor...although you would need HA to show open/close status.

Just want to say, hats off to robofactory, some really cool blogs , install guides etc.

You can do that with the Shelly 1 and the Shelly app. I did it at home on my garage. Reed switch with a Shelly 1, working perfectly.

Really think it's time I move over to Shelly...they have much better functionality and the units look a lot better as well!

And we at Nology are happy to assist when you have an issue.
The catalogue of what we have in SA is growing as we get certification. Unfortunately certification slows us down, but expect some more products on the market in the next few months.
