3 cancellation requests sent so far, all ignored.
Anyone have a number to contact these clowns on?

If you are struggling to find the cancellation button, please sign in to your account on the rain website and click on manage under your sim, then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page you will see an option there Cancel Sim. Please remember all the cancellations take place on the 1st of the following month.

If you guys require any further assistance after that, can you please PM me with the email address that is linked to your rain accounts and I will take a look into whatever issues you experiencing?

The problem isn't the button, its the fact that your support team ignores cancellations in the same way they ignore regular support requests. Now that my service has finally been cancelled, 3 tickets and 30min phone call later, I have been billed for yet another month.

The iburst culture is clearly still around

Does anyone else remember that a selling point for rain was that you could disable your sim at any time? Where did this feature go? You now have to fully cancel the sim on the unlimited package.

The alternative way to cancel a 4G sim is to change plan to pay as you use and set gig limit to 0.

Put it on pay as you go. Easy as pie.

This may be dumb, but how do I switch from R250pm off peak to PAYG?

When I go to the "manage" my sim, the only pricing plans available are the R299 4G uncapped for phones and R479 4G uncapped plans.

I also see that Rain isn't advertising the R50/gb PAYG plan on their website anymore. Has this been discontinued?

This used to work. I bought my Rain sim in 2019 and used the R250pm package for a month or 2. i switch to PAYG and left the sim in my router box for over a year. I started using it again last month, but now I can't see how to go back to PAYG again.

The Pick 'n Pay sims can't be changed but have to be canceled. They also still count towards your limits. Would be even more of a concern now if you can't change plans on the other sims.

My sim was ordered from Rain back before the Pick n Pay or Takealot systems existed.

I literally canceled my sim 2 or 3 days back on rain and I had no issues. Log into your rain account and on the home page (did this via mobile), select the second option after account (this should have a picture of the device you have your sim in) and scroll down. The second last option on there should be to cancel your sim. Hope that helps for whoever still has a problem
